According to Ministry of road transport India, poor vision is one of the major cause for road accidents by truck drivers. Truck drivers work for long & laborious hours, mostly on-road hardly get time to visit Health care facility. Owing to this fact PVRI joined hands with Sightsavers to conduct free eye screening camps exclusively for truck drivers on highways, toll gates and parking yards. The main objective of this program is to screening truck drivers and provide free spectacles 👓 to needy truck drivers. In a very short period, this programme has received tremendous response and greater participation from truck drivers and stood as a successful initiative in eye care.
