Bhavatharini M completed her basic medical training from JJM Medical College, Davangere affiliated to RGUHS, Bangalore. Subsequently, she completed her Masters in Ophthalmology (M.S) training from Joseph eye hospital, Trichy and cleared the Diplomate of National board in ophthalmology (D.N.B). This was followed by a fellowship in Cornea and anterior segment disorders from Aravind eye hospital, Coimbatore.

Dr. Bhavatharini then worked at LV Prasad eye institute in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam as a research and clinical consultant in the department of Cornea and Refractive Surgery. She is also a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (F.I.C.O) London. Dr. Bhavatharini has presented papers, posters and videos at various national and international Ophthalmology conferences and has published research papers in peer-reviewed journals. Her core clinical and research interests include Corneal transplantation, Keratoconus, Infectious disorders of the cornea, Premium Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
