Optical Services and Contact Lens

Refractive errors constitute the most important cause of asthenopia (tired eyes) and visual impairment in any age group. Prescribing the right pair of glasses can be an art in itself. Pushpagiri Eye Institute has qualified optometrists who dispense glasses and contact lenses under the supervision of ophthalmologists. The contact lens department offers trial, fitting (insertion and removal) and lens care education for various types of rigid and soft lenses. Eye diseases like keratoconus, aphakia, astigmatism and presbyopia which require special spherical and toric lenses are prescribed by trained ophthalmologists. Cosmetic (colored) and therapeutic (bandage) lenses are also available.
